Curated by Hambleton Hall’s owner Tim Hart

With a nod to global World Art Day which will take place on 15th April 2019, Hambleton Hall – one of Britain’s finest country house hotels – has launched a bespoke art-based package to mark the occasion.

Curated using owner Tim Hart’s exhaustive knowledge of the local area and managed by an on-property art concierge, the package includes access to hidden gems across a variety of private collections and galleries in and around Rutland and celebrates art and sculpture from around the globe. Hambleton Hall’s Art package will take guests through historic houses and castles to discover some of the most exclusive pieces of art in the UK, from Burghley House’s collection of Japanese artefacts, Italian Old Master paintings and Chinese works of art to Althorp House, which showcases one of Europe’s finest private collections of paintings and ceramics throughout its 90 rooms. Tim’s extensive research, which is published annually as a guide, downloadable here.

Guests will be surveyed on their favourite types of art, regions and eras in advance of their stay by the property’s art concierge, who will produce a recommended itinerary accordingly. They are then at leisure to explore the recommendations, ideally in an electric car, to experience the Rutland countryside emission-free. Naturally, Hambleton Hall has the latest in electric vehicle charging where guests can charge overnight complimentarily.

Hambleton Hall is part of Relais & Châteaux and has the longest-retained Michelin star in Britain.

Packages are costed on a case by case basis starting at £145 per person per night based on two sharing, which includes an overnight stay, breakfast, VAT and entry fee. Contact reception to book.
