Having discovered this hotel last year we have just revisited it to celebrate my birthday. We were given a lovely room with wonderful views over the gardens and lake. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic – here you have a chef who has not only mastered technique and process in his cooking but has a great palate with amazing combinations of flavours and textures. But still the best thing about this hotel is the staff who provide such excellent service in such a friendly way – they obviously care, both about the tasks they carry out and the wish to make guests feel contented. Whoever selects and trains their staff is doing an excellent job. Without doubt my favourite UK hotel at this time.
